Dad’s Pond

Saturday, June 14th, 2008

In the backyard at my uncle’s house, there used to be a majestic swimming pool. Now, many years after its construction, it has cracked beyond repair, and is currently playing home to a host of indigenous species of plants, birds, and even a few frogs. My dad is planning to finish cracking out the bottom of the pool, remove the electronic components, and let nature take it back.

That is super! Just make sure that it doesn’t become a breeding ground for mosquitoes! Wetlands have the highest biodiversity of all places on the planet.
