Humblewood was successfully funded on Kickstarter in April 2019!

In the world of Everden, nestled between the mighty Crest mountain range and the vast marshes of the Mokk Fields, lies a mystical forest known as Humblewood that hums with the Great Rhythm of nature. It has been ruled for generations by the birdfolk who inhabit the Great Tree-City of Alderheart. Humblewood has endured for centuries thanks to the industry and compassion of its people…

Partnering with Hit Point Press and artist Leesha Hannigan, I was a writer for Humblewood. This amazing new world we’ve created features lush, magical forests inhabited by the birdfolk, races and cultures of bird-like humanoids who tend the forest, conduct business, train for battle, and practice the magical arts. Explore the Wood with a 100+ page book, gorgeous maps, and supplemental cards to use in your 5e game.

This is my largest project to date. As a writer for the project, I was responsible for drafting the initial proposal for this set and partnering with Lead Artist Leesha Hannigan to create the foundation for what would become Humblewood. I was also responsible for creating the D&D stats and mechanics, such as playable character options and monsters, as well as creative writing and world building used in the adventure.
