In the backyard at my uncle’s house, there used to be a majestic swimming pool. Now, many years after its construction, it has cracked beyond repair, and is currently playing home to a host of indigenous species of plants, birds, and even a few frogs. With a party of eight bellied up to the bar at Sushiland, it was quite an event for my first (real) sushi experience. That’s Arabella first, then Tyson and Ryan in the back. Also there, but not pictured, was Che`, Nick, Joe, and Jeremy.
